i finally got to meet jessica! we had been emailing back and forth talking about running together and we finally did so yesterday. she wrote a report on our 11.5’ish run, which you can read here. (do i need to say i’m too lazy to write my own?)
i definitely need to do a greater percentage of my training on trails. and hills. at higher altitude. i shall face my fear of getting lost when driving to places i’ve never been to and join her more often. plus, if i do that, these places will become familiar to me, and the jitters will soon be gone. ha!
Well I’m glad you didn’t get lost and I look forward to running with you more too 🙂
It’s so cool that you made it over there to meet Jessica (still on my to do list). Alisa and Wood Canyons are such a nice place to run.
Congratulations to your parents on their wedding anniversary. That is a spectacular achievement, these days.
Sounds like a good plan. I have always enjoyed mixing sports or even variations of a sport to keep things fresh. But high altitude training? Eh….I get to winded. I am such a wuss!
Chris
Hey, it’s cool that you two met up and put in some miles together.
