aunt and niece…

when my older sister, who lives in brazil, sent me this picture of my niece samantha playing on the beach in rio de janeiro, it instantly reminded of an old picture of myself playing on the beach. a different beach. in a different state. but still in brazil. my picture was taken in marataizes, a small town where i spent 3 years of my childhood. sweet memories!

    One of my favorite training partners in Jiu Jitsu, Boris, travels to San Palo and other places in Brazil about every other week. It sounds nice but I know he’d rather be here with his wife and three kids.

    Great picture comparison. Funny how life comes full circle, huh?
