so this pamphlet for a quite unusual product was in my goodie bag last month at the high desert 50k. as i went through the contents of the bag in my hotel room, like a kid opening christmas presents, the yellow piece of paper gave me a good laugh. how do people come up with such ideas? anyway, at the end of the race the next day, they had small prizes for every runner. my prize was a bottle of succeed caps and a snot spot! it sat in my running box for almost a month, until i decided to give it a try yesterday on the octrailrunners 12-mile run through o’neill regional park.
as stated on the pamphlet, snot spot is a fleece nose wiper. well, i do suffer from “runner’s nose”, that annoying drip during runs, especially in colder temperatures. the fleece is really soft, so it doesn’t irritate the skin as when using a wrist band or your shirt sleeve. and most importantly, it does work. i was able to keep the drip under control throughout the entire run, and when i got home i hand washed it in warm water and let it dry. ready for the next snotty run! the only complaint i have is that the one-size-fits-most is too large to fit women’s hands and wrists, but that won’t keep me from using it.

Thanks for sharing this. Some of my training group were just discussing how to handel this situation, now we have a solution.
nice!
I prefer using Wendy’s shirt when she is not paying attention.
I’ve become a snot rocket pro. But I can see how that would come in handy too….
The Snot Spot looks handy as a hankie! Welcome #397 to the Marathon Maniacs Nattie!

i think it is just kind of cool as a fashion statement. i want to get one to wear a la michael jackson in the early 80s.
something about running with a snot-covered one finger glove that freaks me out, though.
That’s awesome. Thanks for the review. I too have a nose running problem. Wiping my nose my gloves just isn’t right?!?!?!
Nice to see you posting again Nattie. I hope all is well. See you soon.

That is such a cool thing! We cyclists just use the back of our gloves with the terry cloth lining:)
Have a great weekend!
